Our range of antique reproduction mahogany furniture starts with our four-poster bed from the Jacobean period and then moves on to the Queen Anne designs of the early 18th century, represented in our collection by beds, chairs and coffee tables. From the 1730s, mahogany increasingly became the fashionable timber for the pre-eminent carpenters to work with, utilising timber imported from the new colonies in the Caribbean. This region was also the source of mahogany when the tree was introduced into Indonesia by Dutch settlers at the end of the 18th century. These plantations in Java now provide the timber source for our reproduction furniture 200 years later.

The Georgian period saw a golden age of English furniture production as furniture took on a lighter style. The imported hardwood allowed more detailed and intricate carving typified by the designs of Thomas Chippendale. Our antique reproduction pieces include numerous designs from this period including desks, bureaux, dining tables, chairs, bookcases and sideboards. Around the same time, French furniture reached a new flamboyance with the rococo designs of the Louis XV period. Leather Collection uses 100% genuine leather through out and all products are made to the highest standard.  Furniture made using aniline leather is exceptionally beautiful as it is the most luxurious leather in the world.  Aniline leather is a type of leather on which high quality hides have been treated with aniline as a dye which produces the uniform colouring of pigmented leather.  Any visible variations on the surface of the undyed leather such as blemishes will remain visible giving that "lived in" look making each piece unique.  Semi aniline leather produces the same affect but has a transparent protective top coat.  Aniline dye colouring produces a delicate, soft, subtle leather.   To keep your furniture beautiful apply a leather cream once or twice a year. Furniture made using bi-cast leather gives a uniform shine and a long lasting "like new" appearance.  Bicast is a split leather embossed with a layer of polyurethane making this easy to clean.
