Here at J.U. we endeavour to offer a solid service and are always at hand to discuss your requirement.  We are a small, friendly team of people and often go beyond what is required to accommodate our clients both Public and Trade. Nothing is too much bother for us and we always like to hear our client’s views on our service.  Even if you do not purchase with us we welcome your comments.

ORDERING AND LEAD TIMES
Outlined below are the lead times and ordering advise for our many collections.  If you are choosing items which we source from other suppliers other than manufacture ourselves the longest lead time will apply.  We are able to organise split deliveries but you would be charged for each delivery you may require.

MAHOGANY PRODUCT - We do hold stock of our mahogany product in certain ranges but in the very popular light mahogany finish only.  All in stock items are available for immediate dispatch or you may collect in person or send a firm of your choice.  Due to the nature of the furniture being handmade and on specific pieces, highly carved, certain ranges for example our Antique Reproduction Collection are to order only as are the other ten finishes.  These special orders have a lead time of fourteen weeks although we are endeavouring to reduce this lead time without affecting the quality. All furniture will arrive with the handles on the interior for protection during transportation and will need reinstating.

BESPOKE FURNITURE - All bespoke product is a minimum of fourteen weeks.  Please note deposits and payments on bespoke furniture cannot be refunded as this furniture is made to order specifically to client’s requirements.

OAK, LEATHER FURNITURE, LACQUERED AND PAINTED, MATTRESSES, METAL BEDS, GLASS & CHROME FURNITURE - We source many of these items in the UK from fellow importers.  The items will invariably arrive at our premises and undergo our quality check before we arrange delivery with one of the delivery firms on your behalf.  Certain collections are shipped directly from the manufacturer ie Julian Bowen.  These items will undergo the specific manufacturer’s quality checking procedure before dispatch.

PLACING YOUR ORDER - All “to order product” or “reserved product” allocated from incoming containers can either be paid in full via our web site or by calling thru with your order.  Alternatively if you wish you can pay a deposit of 50% of the total goods value, please call if you would like this option.

We do endeavour to keep within the lead times but on occasions there may be delays due to the weather and shipping lines, these unfortunately are out of our control.  However, we do try and keep our clients informed as much as possible and in the eventuality of delays advise accordingly by passing on the information we receive from our shippers and colleagues in Indonesia.

DELIVERY OR COLLECTION
Although we do not do deliveries ourselves we do as a courtesy liaise with delivery firms who come highly recommended by previous clients and are very competitively priced, delivering not just in the UK but Europe.  Alternatively you may send a delivery firm of your choice or collect in person from our warehouse.  All product is quality checked before dispatch, please give as much notice as possible if you are organising your own collection to ensure your goods are ready.

The delivery costs are not included in our prices.  Delivery is an additional charge unless a “free of charge delivery offer” is running.  If this is the case it will only cover specific areas as indicated in the promotion.  We are however able to give delivery quotes so feel free to call our offices on 01730 895500/01420 538473 or drop us an email sales@jufurniture.co.uk.

All deliveries are one man and a van providing a drop off service.  They are not insured to position in the room, assemble or remove packaging, this normally requires two men and is a white glove service.  If you require this service we are able to obtain a quote.  However, many of the delivery firms are very accommodating and will assist.  There are also delivery firms mainly those within the South East who offer an assembly service which will incur an additional cost.

Once your item is ready to leave our premises your details are passed on to the delivery firm who will liaise with you direct regarding a delivery slot and your requirements.

DELIVERY CHARGES
From the current day (15/10/11) all items will incur a delivery charge on our web site.  Any item ordered on line without a delivery charge applied will not incur a charge for mainland England and Wales if the charges have not been amended.  The charges per item are as below:-

SMALL - Bedsides, Small occasional items and small furniture - £10.00/ITEM (+VAT)
MEDIUM - Bookcases, desks (3 part), chests, ottomans, console tables, dining chairs, armchairs, etc - £15.00/ITEM (+VAT)
LARGE - Beds, Single Wardrobes, Dressers, mattresses, dining tables, sofas, easy chairs etc - £20.00/ITEM (+VAT)
EXTRA LARGE ITEMS - Double Wardrobes, Display Cabinets & Sideboards,  large sofas, etc - £25.00/ITEM (+ VAT)

When ordering please choose your delivery option from the drop down menu.  If no delivery option is given we will assume you are collecting.

MULTI ITEM DELIVERIES - If there are several items required in your consignment do give us a call and we will endeavour to get the best quote.  This may on occasion be less than the stipulated per item charge.  You may save a few pounds!
